Apartments
Affordable, high-quality rental properties
Movin’ Out has helped create more than 1,500 units of affordable, high quality rental homes in Madison, Milwaukee, and throughout Wisconsin. About 25% of the units are designed to be both the most affordable and the most accessible. These “supported units” are affirmatively marketed to households that include members who qualify for long-term care due to their disabilities.
Interested Renters
Supported units are designed for income-qualified people with permanent disabilities and their families. However, Movin’ Out does not provide support services or social work assistance. Residents are responsible for independently securing, managing, and coordinating any necessary support services, medical care, or case management. We encourage residents to connect with the appropriate community organizations for those needs.
Due to high demand and limited availability, all Movin’ Out rental properties currently have lengthy waiting lists for supported units. Prospective tenants should anticipate a significant delay between the time of joining the wait list and potential unit availability. Placement on a wait list does not guarantee a rental unit. We are unable to provide estimated times until a unit becomes available. We encourage all applicants to continue seeking other housing options while they remain on our wait lists.
If you are interested in being added to a wait list for a unit designated for people with disabilities, please contact us. If you do not need a supported unit, please contact the property management company for the apartments you are interested in. Their contact information is available by clicking the links below.
Please note that Movin’ Out, Inc. does not offer assistance with moving, including but not limited to: packing services, hiring moving companies, transportation of belongings, or physical labor. All arrangements and expenses related to the moving process are the sole responsibility of the renter.
